Our school has been in operation since 1993. The chief flight instructor, John Huddlestone, has been flying for over 30 years and created Helicopter Charter & Training after flying in several countries and owning a flight school in Johannesburg. And why not, Port Elizabeth is most certainly South Africa's best kept secret. With the amazing weather, beautiful beaches and friendly people it's without a doubt the place to fly!

We're located within controlled airspace which gives students the experience necessary to build the confidence needed to fly anywhere in the world. Our general flying area is located about 15 minutes away which enables us to make the most of the training at Uitenhage Airfield; with 4 different grass runways, tar thresholds, slopes and confined areas to train with you'll build the confidence and skills to earn your wings. In the very unlikely event that we have limited visibility here in Port Elizabeth, we simply train on the threshold of one of the runways here that's not in use. There's rarely a day that we're grounded...the tower and your flight instructors work to ensure you get the flight time you need!
