Commercial Pilots License Helicopter

Once you have completed your PPL(H) why not continue and earn your full Commercial Pilots License for Helicopter CPL(H). You can complete the commercial ground school with us while building hours on one of our Robinson R22's. Or use the hour building to earn your Night Rating (10 Hrs) and Instrument Rating (40 Hrs) as you progress.

Requirements:

 

  • Be at least 17 years old
  • Fly 200 hours - 100 Pilot in Command, 20 cross country
  • Pass 8 written exams - Meteorology, Navigation, Flight Planning, Radio Aids, Helicopter Technical/General, Instruments and Electronics, Human Performance, Air Law and Ops
  • Obtain a General Radio License
  • Have a valid Aviation Medical Class I
  • Pass a Flight Test

 

*As part of your hours towards CPL(H) you can obtain the following ratings: CFI(H), External Load, Instrument, Night Rating, and Game Rating
